I purchased a Satellite P770 recently.  One of the reasons I went with the one I did was because it is capable of having a second internal harddrive.  I didn't order it with a second drive because I already have a 500GB drive, and was planning to put in a 1TB later anyway (Toshiba didn't have 1TB drives as an option.).

I just discovered that while there is an empty bay, there is no sata port to connect a second harddrive to.  It looks like there's a place where a small board would be mounted, and the sata port the 1st harddrive is connected to also has a ribbon cable connector next to it. 

I couldn't find anything on the Toshiba site, does anyone know where can I get the parts I need (second sata port board and harddrive caddy)?

Which model P770 do you have?

Also, what's the part number on the sticker on the bottom of the computer?

Hi brad, sorry it took so long to reply.

It's a Sattellite P770, that's the only thing on the sticker relating to model.

The part number is PSBY3U-0ED026 with <es5.0> on the end.
