Dynadock U3.0: Audio driver not working (Windows 8)

[ Edited ]

I'm very happy with my new dynadock U3.0. Almost everything works perfect. Just one problem..

The audio driver doesn't work. I've already reinstalled the DisplayLink software (v 7.1 M0) but that didn't solve it. Attached a screenshot of the problem (I'm sorry, it is Dutch). Windows does see the problem too, but can't solve it either. It says that there is a problem with the driver for 'DisplayLink USB Audio Adapter'.

How to fix this? Thanks for helping me!

(And sorry, my English is not that good)

The newest driver is 7.3M1 and it has audio, LAN and Windows 8 compatible video drivers. I found it using the Virtual Help desk. http://displaylinkwebdrivers.s3.amazonaws.com/DisplayLink_7.3M1.exe?AWSAccessKeyId=AKIAIZKSNAGG3VGIF...

Hi,

Please run through these steps:

Right click on device in device manager
Select Driver
Select Update Driver
Select Browse my computer for driver software
Select Browse
Enter C:\Program Files\DisplayLink Core Software\
Check Include subfolders
Select Next

Thanks,

James

Hi James,

I have tried to do the same, however the Update Driver box is greyed out. I have admin privileges. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Garry.

Hi,

I haven't seen that before - can you check if the item in device manager is disabled?

Are both options disabled? That is both chooing to search Windows Update and also search locally?

Thanks,

James
