I recently acquired a Satellite 1805-S203 that has several extra AC adapters.  Which one is the correct one to use?

The ones I have are:  PA3092U-1ACA, PA2484U and PA2450U.

That power supply needs to be 15-volts at no less than 60-watts. Nothing else (except a compatible plug, of course) matters. For some reason, Toshiba has no end of part numbers for essentially the same part.

This one came with the computer: PA3048U-1ACA (see the spec above)

This one is sold as a replacement: PA3282U-2ACA

This one certainly works: PA3092U-1ACA

Thanks.  I guess I'll keep them all just in case I need them.

You did so well with my first question could you answer this one as well.  After using it for awhile I find lots of things wrong with the OS ME.  Could I install XP to this computer?  What would I lose and what steps would I need to do this.

It would be a struggle. If you need to ask for help, you're probably not up to it.

If you want to try, many of the drivers and utilities written for Windows 2000 (Windows NT 5.0) will likely work for Windows XP (NT 5.1). They are here.
