I am having the same problem that the person with the DR640Ku has.  I set the timer to record three different programs to three different channels using the vcr part of the unit, but all three sessions recorded the channel that the unit was tuned to when the unit was turned off.  I could not find anything in the owners manual that would help me.  Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

I am still working on getting my 670KU operating, but your problem may be in the channel load, which the guide has the wrong directions..   Turn off TV and DVD...  Turn on DVD first...then the TV  setup   general   channel  manual cable extend  will take time to scan channels into your DVD then hit setup to finalize what you just did.  Clock instructions were wierd, too.    If you have a cable box this should work.
