Blu-ray & DVD Players & Recorders

I'm following the manual's directions, but Divide Title is not available in the Edit menu screen as depicted in the manual.  After I've recorded, I am able to rename the 1st and only title that is 2+hours long, but I want to separate that into 5 or 6 titles and rename them.  It won't let me divide them. 

Do I need to create a playlist or something first?

What type of disc (DVD-RW, DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD+R) and mode (Video, VR, etc.) are you using?

DVD RW+

& VR (but I am not certain on this part, this was my first time attempting to record a disc)

What I am trying to accomplish is basically copy a VHS tape that has some boxing matches on it, etc. and I want to break that recording out to their invidual bouts and label accordingly.

Are you finalizing the disc before attempting to divide the title? I believe you need to do the division before finalizing.
