Batteries and Power

I just recently changed the battery in my Satellite P305-8825 Laptop and the battery power icon in the lower right hand corner no longer shows the remaining power. I did notice the new battery has a different mAh number, 6600 I think, compared to the older battery that was 4000mAh. Is there a way to get the power indicator working again?

Try this.  Place the computer in safe mode. Remove adapter.  Let it turn off. Plug in adapter and charge fully.  Copputer on or off doesn't matter.
