Power saver went well for past 3 years. But now as soon as i open toshiba power saver settings it displays a message- X FATAL ERROR HAS OCCURED. THIS PROGRAM WILL BE TERMINATED. CODE 0X0.
If i check 'ok' then power saver option closes automatically. But if i ignore this messege i can still change settings in the toshiba power saver options.
Also i am getting my battery in the toolbar as 101% charged. Before it showed 100% charged.
I have noticed that now the battery discharges with double or triple speed. earlier battery back up was abt 35-40 mins now it is abt 15 mins.
Have tried to reinstall power saver software but of no use.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Try reinstalling these two Toshiba utilities in this order.
Toshiba ACPI Common Modules for Windows XP/2000
Toshiba Power Saver Utility for Windows XP/2000

Hi jerry
As stated earlier I had reinstalled both these utilities in that order but of no use.
Also pls tell me why power saver works fine when i am on battery mode but displays fatal error when i am using ac adaptor mode. Also is there any other sofware which i can use as a substitute.
is the battery consumption really more if i dont use this software. Can i use the inbuilt power management with the same result.?
