Sound Quality is Poor on Bose Headphones

I just got a new Toshiba Satellite computer after originally having a Dell. When I plug in my Bose Quiet Comfort 15 headphones, the computer won't recognize that the headphones are plugged in. I can still hear sound coming out of my headphones, but I can't hear the bass and the sound quality is equivalent to the speaker quality. I have tried using my sound settings and Control Panel, but nothing could work.

Re: Sound Quality is Poor on Bose Headphones

Can you check the laptop's full model and part numbers from the label on the bottom? Don't include the serial number.

Are these USB headphones or the usual headphone jack?

Do other headphones work?

Re: Sound Quality is Poor on Bose Headphones

If you have any autio enhancement programs from Toshbia you should uninstall them. I had the same issue with the volume being too low and flat and I uninstalled the 2 Audio programs that were for enhancing or EQ'ing the sound and it resolved the issue. My sound is really loud and full now on my headphones. Just make sure you do not uninstall your driver. The driver is the only thing you need.

I have a Toshiba Satellite P70 customized laptop.
