Re: Protege M600 Sound Problem

Which Portege M600? What's the part number?

For example, the part number for model M600-E360 is PPM60L-013009.

Portege M600 (PPM60L-02D00W)

An Asian machine. Have you tired this driver?

Realtek Audio Driver for Windows7, 6.0.1.5898

   065913_02.01.35.TC70050200A.exe

 It's for 32-bit Windows 7 only. I don't see one for 64-bit Windows 7.

Re: Protege M600 Sound Problem

So you can't decide which Windows? Let's talk about Windows XP.

The order of installation matters.

Re: Protege M600 Sound Problem

Let's start all over again with a fresh install of Windows XP? Reformat the drive and install it.

Which version do you have? Professional? With which service pack preinstalled?

After that, get the Toshiba drivers and utilities for a Portege M600 here.

Install the Intel chipset utility followed by the display driver (downloads in three parts) prior to any other driver. With a little luck, that will solve the audio problem.

Install the Toshiba hotkey utility before other Toshiba utilities.
