I just pulled this laptop out and turned it on after a long break, it sat for a year. Somehow, back then, the sound drivers dissapeared. So I ran recovery, and still no sound drivers.

I tried to find the driver on this site but I can't dig it up, is there a driver here I can download and that it self installs?

If you did a complete recovery to out-of-box state as we discussed in your other posting and the sound still does not work, that means a hardware failure, not software.  However, if you want to give it a try, HERE is the audio driver for your machine. Installation instructions are included at the link I gave you.

You're probably right about hardware failure, but the driver install is worth a shot! thanks again! 

Ran it, it says it can't find a media driver.
