I have a Satellite L505-S6946. Last night, my dog tripped over the wire to my headphones and rather abruptly yanked them out of my computer. I noticed the male end was substantially bent. Since then, I have had no audio on my computer, via internal speakers or headphones. The jack itself looks somewhat pushed back into my computer and when a set of functional, undamaged headphones were plugged in, they went in a bit crooked and wiggled around in the jack, Is there a way to try to bypass or disable the headphone jack and rely just on the internal speakers? Or is my computer worthless for anything other than word processing and viewing basic sites like message boards?
